The 1960s series "My Three Sons" was a wildly popular show featuring the beloved Fred MacMurray as the Douglas family patriarch. Millions of Baby Boomers have fond memories of the show and its catchy theme song with the animated toe-tapping.

Fred MacMurray

From 1960-1972, Fred played the part of Steven Douglas, a single dad raising three sons. In the 1970s, he appeared in television commercials for Greyhound until his retirement in 1978. MacMurray died of pneumonia in November 1991 at age 83.
